Opportunity:

NACWL were appointed by BMP Construction Ltd to complete the external envelope to the south block extension at Chilcomb Innovation Centre. The first phase of works was completed by us in 2017 and now the client will be extending the scheme to increase the lettable space for other tenants. The works will consist of a full building envelope, complete with hot melt roofing, cladding and glazing.

Proposal:

The design for the facade will follow the original phase 1 development plans, using large expanses of curtain wall screens to create the office facade. The use of cladding will break up the appearance of the glazing. The soffit will be constructed from a series of shaped and tapered aluminium planks to create the sweeping curve. A sedum green roof will be added to match in with the existing roofing.
