Opportunity:
NACWL were selected by Osborne to design, supply and install windows for a residential development off Trafalgar Square. Windows were to be installed into pre-existing SIPS/brickwork openings, in the more challenging dormer areas we installed rainscreen cladding to the roof and cheeks. On the ground floor, our scope included toggle glazed curtain walling and doors, as well as the “monumental” capped curtain wall screen to the stair core.
Proposal:
During the tender process, it was identified that the window solution, initially specified by the consultant team, would not satisfy the planning requirements as an exposed glass edge was required. We, therefore developed a proposal utilising a curtain wall outer frame with “glazed in” Schueco AWS 115 bonded Vents, which achieved the desired aesthetics.
