Opportunity:
The modern, purpose-built rehabilitation unit at Southampton Western Community Hospital will replace two existing rehabilitation wards and will increase the number of beds available. NACWL engaged early with the client and main contractor during the design and tender stage, this enabled us to explore opportunities for Value Engineering options creating cost savings for the client whilst maintaining the aesthetic and thermal requirements
Proposal:
The project consists of glazing and rainscreen facade, we worked from the onset to achieve an onerous U value and maintain the architects vision for an aesthetically pleasing functional facility, keeping within a tight budget while in a live hospital environment. We are onsite and works are progressing well.
