Client: Michael Rogers
What do you do when every part of your building leaks? This was the question one of our repeat clients had to decide when their 5-year-old building developed leaks on the curtain walling, roof lights and copings. The previous contractors had gone into administration, leaving the client with no recourse for latent defects to the building envelope.
Initially NACWL assisted the client in developing a cost plan for the apparent and anticipated works, following a site investigation to establish a firm remedial strategy. It became apparent that water ingress was occurring in various places to the curtain walling, roof copings and roof membrane. NACWL were then contracted to carry out all necessary remedial works including CWCT water testing, whilst working to the agreed cost plan.
